As a professional coach, I recognise the importance of protecting the privacy of your personal data. This privacy policy sets out how any personal data collected from you when you visit this website (the “Website”) or appoint my services, will be processed in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998 and the General Data Protection Regulation 2018 (“GDPR”).

I, Catherine Gurney, am the ‘data controller’ for the purposes of the GDPR in my capacity as a sole trader. This means that I am responsible for determining the purposes and means of processing your personal data.

  • apply for accreditation with applicable third party professional bodies and to demonstrate relevant experience;

Your personal data shall only be retained for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this privacy policy, or as required by applicable law, at which point it shall be deleted or destroyed.

Your personal data may be disclosed to third parties in circumstances where there is a legal duty or obligation to do so, and/or to protect and defend the rights, property, or safety of the business, my customers, or others.

Please note that the Website may use and contain links to third party websites. I am not responsible for the privacy practices or the content of those websites or services. Please also note that, despite the measures taken by me and third parties, the internet is not secure. As a result, others may nevertheless unlawfully intercept or access private transmissions or data.

I have put in place appropriate security measures to prevent your personal data from being accidentally lost, used or accessed in an unauthorised way, altered or disclosed. Your personal data is stored on my computer, laptop, mobile phone and within email accounts, all of which are password protected. Personal data is also held within physical notebooks, which are secured under lock and key. The security of your data is important to me, but note that no method of transmission over the Internet, or method of electronic storage, is absolutely secure.

As explained above, you have the right to object or withdraw your consent to receiving marketing communications. In addition, under certain circumstances, you may have the following rights under applicable laws:
